Legos have been a staple in children’s toys for generations.

Whether you’re a “master builder” or a part-time novice, Legos continue to challenge our construction abilities.

There’s one artist who has taken his love for Legos and turned it into a full art exhibit. Nathan Sawaya had played with Legos as a child. When he became an adult, he needed a creative outlet to help ease stress. That’s when the colorful bricks came back into his life. He has since built a Lego art empire. He created “Park People” (life-sized, human sculptures) as a way to bring art to life.

Unlike the usual Lego project, folks are encouraged to “feel, talk to and experience the work.”

These fun and interactive sculptures will be on display at Republic Plaza in downtown Denver from July 10 to August 27.

(No word on if “Kragle” was used in the building of the sculptures.)
