One of the most popular figures in professional wrestling during the late 1990s and early 2000s, Bill Goldberg is in the WWE Hall of Fame and highly regarded as one of the best to ever compete. However, he was also a really good football player, Goldberg earned a scholarship to attend the University of Georgia and play college football for the Georgia Bulldogs as a defensive tackle. He was taken by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round of the 1990 NFL draft, and eventually played for the Atlanta Falcons, where he became close with Deion Sanders. That may have led to this…

The son of Bill Goldberg, Gage, announced he is headed to Boulder to play for Sanders on X (Formerly Twitter) on Sunday morning. “After a great conversation, I am honored to announce that I am committing to the University of Colorado to continue my football and academic career,” Goldberg wrote.

The 6-foot, 205-pound middle linebacker from Boerne Champion (Texas) turned down other offers, including one from Alabama to be at CU.
