Mrs. Linder from Namaqua Elementary – Thompson School District-5th Grade
Namaqua Elementary has around 50% of students who are on free and reduced lunch. We have 3 special education programs – a learning center, intensive learning center, and an effective needs program. Our mission is to plant the seeds of tomorrow. This helps facilitate our vision which is from tiny seeds grow mighty trees. I would love to make their experience at school a fun and engaging experience this school year.

Ms. Kim from Traylor Elementary – Denver Public Schools – Special Education K-5
I am a Special Education Teacher who has spent the past 2 and a half years (since the pandemic closed all schools) teaching virtually. An all elementary online school had opened within DPS, but unfortunately it was closed. I was personally affected by Covid and have permanent damage to my lungs so teaching online was safest for me and my situation, as I now use oxygen therapy to breathe. But I am excited to be returning to in person teaching under a principal who truly understands and meets my passion for an equitable school. I have nothing to fill my classroom and I’m starting all over again. I am excited, and nervous, but very ready to meet new students and work with more families who I hopefully make a positive impact on as we venture through this new school year together.
Ms. Trujillo from Side Creek Elementary – Aurora Public Schools
Second year teacher, starting all over this year. I will be teaching second grade for the first time ever! I finished my student teaching right in the heart of Covid, didn’t get into the classroom until fall of 2021, and finally got my first teaching job last year and now I’m switching grades, schools and districts Anything and everything is helpful!

Ms. Seery from Jackson Elementary – Greeley-Evan’s District 6
This will be my first year teaching at Jackson and first year teaching overall! I am lucky to be teaching at a school that values students wellbeing and their learning. I have been involved with students from my school since I worked at a local before and after care program! I want to create a welcoming environment where my students feel safe and are ready to learn, even on the toughest of days! My classroom is going to be cozy and welcoming, while also focusing on my students growing as learners! Thank you so much KYGO!

Ms. Anderson From Colorado STEM Academy – Westminster Public Schools
I am going into my fourth year of teaching at Colorado STEM Academy and would love to provide everything and more for my first graders! After a long summer they will come in ready to learn all things academics and have the opportunity to incorporate STEM into their daily lives. On top of teaching, I am also getting my Masters in Education this year to help further my own education for the benefit of my students. I would love any help supplying the best for these students of mine!

Ms Rawson from Knapp Elementary – Denver Public Schools
I’ve been working at my current school for 3 years now and love it! My students with disabilities are the hardest working kids I know and deserve materials that support their engagement and practice with concepts they are learning. I strive to make my classroom one in which we can celebrate each other, share success, and push ourselves to grow! My favorite student moments are lightbulb moments, student pride in themselves and our classroom care for each other!

Mr. Schoser – Mammoth Heights Elementary – Douglas County
I have been teaching now for 10 year in the classroom, and have been in education for about 13 years. I love what I do!! I try and make my 5th grade classroom a work hard, then we play hard environment. I teach math and science to fifth grader currently and I am always trying to incorporate hands on learning in my classroom as I believe that this is the best way to get kids to engage in our work. Especially in science, kids don’t want to hear about science, or read about it, then want to DO science! I try and find new ways to get flexible seating in my room to make everyone feel comfortable, and less like a traditional classroom with desks. I want kids to want to be here, I see them as more than I see my own family, so when they come in my room, I want them to feel safe and in a place that they want to be.

Mrs. Boeckmann with Mountain Vista High School/Douglas County
Having the community help buy supplies for my classroom would be an absolute dream come true! As a passionate high school math teacher, I am constantly striving to provide the best learning experience for my students. With the support of KYGO and the generous people of Colorado, I know we can make a significant difference in the lives of each and every student in my class. I can’t wait to see the smiles on my students’ faces when they walk into a classroom filled with the tools they need to succeed. Thank you, KYGO, and the wonderful community of Colorado, for helping clear the list and making this school year an unforgettable one for us all! Thank you Tracy & Fizz

Melanie Lopez from Vista Peak Preparatory – Aurora Public Schools
This is my 15th year teaching and I just changed schools after 7 years. I love teaching and love my students, but I am going into a new place and would appreciate the help getting my new classroom ready. My classroom is a place of calm learning where we dog deep and push ourselves as students and as people. These supplies aren’t just helping me, they are educating a generation of change makers.
