Todd Helton is Getting Inducted Into the Baseball Hall of Fame
By Shawn Patrick on January 23, 2024
After falling 11 votes short in 2023 on his fifth year on the ballot, the greatest Colorado Rockies player ever is finally headed to Cooperstown!
Today it was announced that Todd Helton will officially become a National Baseball Hall of Famer.
Helton was more than just a superb hitter, he played great defense at first base, as well. That’s evidenced by his three career Gold Glove Awards (2001, ’02 and ’04). He was also selected as an All-Star five times and a Silver Slugger Award winner four times.
Helton joins Larry Walker as the only Colorado Rockies to be in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Helton will be officially inducted during Hall of Fame Weekend on Sunday, July 21, at 11:30 p.m. MST on the grounds of the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown, New York.
