The KYGO Pet of the Week: Oreo
By Austin Satkowiak on April 15, 2021
Oreo is a 3 year old black lab who is looking for a foster family. Oreo was surrendered to us because his family could not afford his medical care. Oreo came in with 2 bad back legs. He could barely walk due to his knees being in such poor shape. He had his first surgery 3 weeks ago and is recovering. His second knee is scheduled for April 22. We would really like to get Oreo into a foster to recover in a home instead of at the shelter.
Oreo is housebroken, gets along with other dogs and loves people. He is very curious about cats and would most likely chase them. He does love his person and will become a velcro dog following his person everywhere. He is happiest when he can just cuddle with someone.
His foster will need to monitor activity after surgery and be able to bring back to the shelter for follow up appointments. If interested in fostering Oreo, please fill out a foster app (you can find the app on maxfund.org under the fostering tab) and submit it to the foster coordinators, online as well. If you have any questions regarding our foster program, please call (303) 595-4917 or to see the other dogs available for foster or adoption, please visit maxfund.org.
