The KYGO Pet of the Week: Clark

Hiya, I’m Clark! I’m a 3-year-old Hound mix. I am one of 16 dogs that made the trek up to MaxFund from Eastern Texas back in June after escaping a hoarding situation.
When I was brought to MaxFund, I was very scared of everyone and everything. I had been alone in rural Texas for months on end, things were scary. I even contracted heartworm, which is a serious parasite that was trying to take over my body! Thankfully, the MaxFund staff has been treating me for the past few months for heartworm, and I’m healthy as ever.
Because of my stray past, I’m a little more reserved than most dogs. It takes me a bit to warm up to people, but I love them once I know them. I’m also unsure about other dogs, and I don’t really know how to play. I need someone to teach me “how to dog”! A comforting home that has the patience to help bring me out of my shell sounds like a great fit for me!
