With the Super Bowl happening this Sunday, football is on many people’s minds and new research reveals which cities are the best and worst for football fans in 2023. WalletHub looked at 249 cities in the U.S. with at least one college or pro football team, ranking them on 21 key metrics including the number of NFL or college teams per city, stadium capacity, average ticket price and fan friendliness.

There are 249 cities listed, and one Colorado city was just a few spots from the very bottom… Fort Collins, most notably the home of the Colorado State University Rams was at number 247.

Other Colorado cities on the list were Denver at number 19, Colorado Springs at 104, Greeley at 220, and Boulder at 240… Although, that Boulder ranking is likely to skyrocket in the coming years!

Topping the list overall is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On the flip side, Valparaiso, Indiana comes in dead last at number 249, making it the worst city for football fans overall.
