As I write this article, it’s -1 in Denver. Monterrey, Mexico is 55 degrees, but it’s also cold there. They’ll see a high near 80 later this week. So, if you need a break from the cold, maybe Monterrey is your place!

Viva Aerobus announced that its new, nonstop service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Mexico’s Monterrey International Airport (MTY) will begin Jan 25.

Viva Aerobus is the 25th airline to serve Denver and the only carrier to offer nonstop service to Monterrey. The carrier plans to operate service to and from Denver two days per week, Thursdays and Sundays.

Monterrey is situated in northeast Mexico at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range. Home to more than 5 million people, the Monterrey region ranks as Mexico’s second-largest industrial and commercial center, behind only Mexico City.
