Heavy traffic expected on I-70 this weekend

DENVER – If you’re heading up the hill this weekend, be prepared for some major traffic on the I-70, says the Colorado Department of Transportation. (CDOT) There are three events taking place in the mountains: Breckenridge’s annual International Snow Sculpture Championships, the Freestyle Competition in Vail and the X Games in Aspen.
On top of that, there’s a wintry mix of snow falling today from the front range through the mountains. CDOT says all these factors are likely to cause some traffic issues. To avoid unnecessary delays, it’s recommended that motorists plan ahead and consider using bus services like Bustang, Snowstang, and Pegasus. These options are an affordable and convenient transportation option for travelers attending any of the events in Aspen, Vail or Breckenridge.
