Free admission days to Colorado national parks in 2024

Denver, CO – Free admission days will be returning for Colorado national parks in 2024!
Colorado is known for some of the most beautiful outdoor scenery in the country with countless trails and many sun filled days to enjoy them, and that includes 9 national park sites that will have several free admission dates throughout 2024!
The following days will be free:
- January 15th – MLK Jr Day
- April 20th – National Park Week
- June 19th – Juneteenth
- August 4th – Great American Outdoors Day
- September 28th – National Public Lands Day
- November 11th – Veterans Day
Colorado state parks will be kicking off the year with a free day :
- January 1st – New Years Day (celebrating First Day Hikes at state parks – Click here for more info)
The parks that will have free admission will be as follows:
- Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site
- Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park
- Colorado National Monument
- Dinosaur National Monument
- Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument
- Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve
- Hovenweep National Monument
- Mesa Verde National Park
- Rocky Mountain National Park
These days will allow free entrance for visitors with most of those fees typically starting at $10 but there will still be fees for additional services such as boating and camping.
