Elderly Colorado Couple Trapped In House By Giant Tumbleweeds

Strong winds in southern Colorado caused a large buildup of tumbleweeds for some people, including Marlies Gross and her husband in Fountain, Colorado, just south of Colorado Springs. She says the giant tumbleweeds trapped them inside their house, piling up until they couldn’t see out of their windows or even leave their driveway.
The couple called the local police and the county for help, but they were told public officials couldn’t help because the situation happened on private property.
A landscaper estimates that it’ll cost around $6,500 to clear the tumbleweeds. Gross says she hopes they’ll be able to see out of their windows again soon.
