Denver Zoo Makes A Big Announcement
By Sheena on September 5, 2019
Here’s a flashback for ya… I remember when “Tropical Discovery” was opened at the Denver Zoo. And to this day, it’s still a MUST SEE for me when we visit!
Fast forward to today. If you haven’t visited the zoo in a while, it looks a lot different. Many of the older enclosures are being upgraded or in some cases removed. Today, the Denver Zoo announced that one of the staple exhibits will be closing it’s doors.
Denver Zoo officials confirmed that many of the birds species will be moved to other exhibits in the park. If you’re like me and started having a panic attack about the Linne’s two-toed sloths that also call “Bird World” home… fret not! Charlotte Greenie, Elliott and their baby Wookie will also stay at the zoo along with the African Penguins.
It will be exciting to see what the Denver zoo has planned for the future. And, hopefully one day in the future, my kids will say “Hey! I remember when that exhibit opened…” just like their old mom.
