It’s funny to me how Denver treats each of their sports teams just a little different The Denver Broncos have played five games under coach Nathaniel Hackett, won two of them, and the city is basically calling for his head. Yet, the Colorado Rockies continue to disappoint and no one seems to care that they keep their head man around.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying Bud Black should be fired as the Rockies coach, or that it’s his fault the team continues to struggle, but I am saying if he was the Broncos coach he’d certainly be doomed.

During his six seasons managing the Rockies, Black has had 417 wins and 453 losses, yet the Rockies have announced that Bud Black will return as the team’s manager for the 2023 season.

Not everyone on the staff was as lucky, though. Hitting coach Dave Magadan is out, as the Rockies and Magadan agreed to “mutually part ways.” Third base and infield coach Stu Cole has been reassigned to a Minor League staff position.
