Chris Young Is The Grand Ole Opry’s Newest Member

He’s only 32, but Chris Young just got the thrill of his life, he’s been invited to join the Grand Ole Opry.

Vince Gill extended the invitation last night. Chris was so excited he kissed the Opry’s hallowed circle and then lifted Vince off the floor in a bear hug.

Before the invitation, Chris got his platinum award for his album Neon and a gold award for the single “Sober Saturday Night.”

Though he’ll be the Opry’s youngest member when he’s inducted on October 17th, Chris has played the Opry 78 times.
