Carmelo Anthony retires from NBA after 19 seasons

Carmelo Anthony has announced that after 19 seasons he has officially retired from the NBA. Anthony kicked off his NBA career here with the Denver Nuggets when he was drafted in 2003 and played with them through 2011 before moving on to the New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers but never managed to win an NBA Championship.
He ends his career as the 9th highest scorer in NBA history with 28,289 points. He shared his farewell message to his fans saying this his legacy is not his feats on the court or awards or praise….but his son who will take over the torch.
